The world has approximately 11million metric tonnes of known natural cobalt deposits, of which 124,000 tonnes per annum of are mined*. This known volume of cobalt allows Kinetic to forecast that we can readily produce Kinetic Power Cells for literally 300+ years using Co-60.

To fuel a 1,000 MWe Power Station (approx. size of a large coal fired Power Station), for 10 years, Kinetic require 150 tonnes of Co-60, which equates to just 15 tonnes per annum to operate a 1,000MWe Power Station, that’s an astonishingly small amount of Co-60 radioisotope for such an astounding result.
